In Winston-Salem there is currently no place that will house homeless mothers, under 18, and their children. The Children’s Home is creating a new program called My Aunt’s House. This new program will provide homeless teen mothers and their children with a home, basic necessities, adult supervision and guidance, as well as the services needed to grow a healthy, strong family. At this moment there are renovations being made on the Reynold’s Cottage, also known as the Baby Cottage. For the time being, the 5 resident’s of My Aunt’s House are staying at the Stockton Cottage.
